8 down ... 32 to go

We got another estimate for the sprinkler repair that was a little cheaper and more precise. The baseboards got delivered to the back patio. Mike's dad continue to try and fix the bar and laundry room plumbing.

Today we had planned on painting all the baseboards. I got stuck in Exploratorium traffic and got home late. Plus I had to meet with the consultant for the window company to try and get our financing figured out. Again we got hit with "its possible fraud" because we haven't been at that address very long. After a long phone call we have to fax in a copy of our utility bill to prove we live there. After a late start we didn't get to the house until 7pm. Sean came by to help and Pam, Robert, Grandma and Katherine all came to have dinner with us before we got started. Athens out on the patio was great. Anne and Bob showed up too, but they didn't know we were going to be there. Tim came by to help check out the leak under the house.

After dinner everyone else hung out while Sean and I worked on painting the baseboards. It took a bit for us to figure out the set up but we ended up using the draperies we had taken down to layout on the patio. We had a system going and managed to get two coats on them. We lost light and even with the floodlights pulled outside it became difficult to paint. Bugs are apparently very attracted to white baseboards; I'm thinking its the reflective property. When Time crawled under the house he pulled out the bad romex we had found yesterday and checked out the leaking pipes under the water heater. He also found a frog!

When everyone else went home, Mike, Tim, Sean and I hung out for awhile before calling it a night. I plan to paint 32 more baseboards tomorrow so they are done and dry tomorrow. We're going to probably try a sprayer ... it could be great or a disaster.
